According to LAMSL Vice-President, Art Padilla, Jr., this is the first recorded no-hitter in league history. Art said, "I believe it would be the first ever or at least one we can officially record." Rudy has been a member of LAMSL for many years. He has achieved several accomplishments in that time. For instance, Rudy has reached numerous championships with various teams and he has posted 60+ strikeouts in countless seasons. However, this is Rudy's 1st no-hitter as a LAMSL pitcher. Rudy is a modest competitor. He acknowledges his powerhouse opponent's strong competitive effort and credits his defense's consistency and reliability. Rudy stated, "They're good, but my defense backed me up. You can't win without defense. Right?" LAMSL Administration offered, "Special congratulations to Rudy for pitching the first ever no-hitter in league history."
